Generali CEE Holding B.V. is the parent company of a group of leading insurance companies operating mainly in P&C and life insurance business as well as in pension and asset management services in Central and Eastern Europe. The Company’s subsidiaries are in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

The organizational unit of Generali CEE Holding is based in Prague with 160 employees of 13 nationalities.

1989

Launch of the expansion programme in the region

2015

Generali takes full control of the joint venture between Generali and PPF established in 2008 - company changes name to Generali CEE Holding

2018

Austria and Russia become part of the region – company changes name to Austria, CEE & Russia Region

2022

Generali decided to close its operations in Russia and as of 1st September, Austria is no longer belonging to the CEE Region

2023

The Generali CEE Region becomes part of the newly created International business unit together with Asia and Med Lat

2024

The Internation business unit is discontinued and the CEE region becomes part of the newly created Insurance division
